Microsoft is believed to be readying a wearable device, with sources saying the device will have a battery life of more than two days.
According to Forbes, the wearable device will be launched in the coming weeks, and will challenge the Apple Watch, which needs to be charged every night, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Gear smart watch.
The timing of the launch could see the Microsoft wearable offering beat the Apple Watch to market, with the Apple device (priced at $349) not going on sale until early 2015.
The Microsoft device will track heart rate and will be able to be used across different mobile platforms: with the ability to sync with iPhones and Androids as well as Windows Phones.
It is currently unknown what the Microsoft device will be called, or what price it is set to retail at.
